Luke Grimes Signs With Warner Chappell Music

Singer-songwriter Luke Grimes has signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music in collaboration with Range Media Partners.

The Yellowstone star’s debut song “No Horse To Ride” was featured in the mid-season series finale last year, and peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. Grimes grew up in Ohio and learned how to play music in church. After studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career and landed a role in the film American Sniper. In 2022, he signed with UMG Nashville and released his eight-song EP, Pain Pills or Pews, which has amassed 105 million total global streams to date, last year.

Grimes has collaborated with writers including Liz Rose, Nicolle Galyon, Jessi Alexander, Rodney Clawson, Brent Cobb and Randy Montana, among others, and will be releasing his self-titled debut album, produced by Dave Cobb, this Friday (March 8) via Capitol Records Nashville.

 

UMPG Nashville Signs Dylan Gossett

Singer-songwriter Dylan Gossett has signed an exclusive global publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) Nashville.

Gossett came onto the scene with his critically acclaimed debut EP, No Better Time, which he wrote, recorded, produced and mixed in his bedroom in Austin, Texas. The EP includes the viral breakout single “Coal,” which has garnered over 150 million global streams to date and is now certified Gold in the U.S. “Coal” recently debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 and climbed to No. 21 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Gossett will follow up the successful project with a new EP, Songs In The Gravel, set for release on March 22 via Big Loud Texas/Mercury Records. He released the second single, “Somewhere Between,” Friday (March 1).

 

The Black Crowes Sign With Spirit Music Group

Legendary rock band The Black Crowes, led by Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson, has signed a publishing administration agreement with Spirit Music Group. This deal encompasses the band’s acclaimed albums Warpaint and Before The Frost…Until the Freeze, along with their highly anticipated upcoming releaseHappiness Bastards, set for launch on March 15.

“The Black Crowes have stood as one of rock music’s best bands in the past 30 years. With this new album and their upcoming tour, they prove to be even stronger than ever. Anyone who does not see their upcoming live shows is depriving themselves. I have a been a fan of their music from the beginning and couldn’t be more psyched to be part of the ride today,” shares Jon Singer, Chairman, Spirit Music Group, of the partnership.

Major Bob Music Signs Songwriter & Producer Colin Healy

Major Bob Music has signed songwriter and producer Colin Healy to a global publishing deal.

The New England native is a Berklee College of Music graduate who has spent more than a decade on the road as Dustin Lynch‘s Music Director and bassist. Healy initially signed a publishing deal with Major Bob Music back in 2019, and has had cuts and syncs with Megan MoroneyAvery AnnaCB30 and Tayler Holder, among others.

“With over 13 years of touring from the club scene to stadiums with us, Colin just gets it,” shares Lynch. “He knows what the country concertgoer wants, needs and will react to. This is a HUGE asset in the creative rooms and his instincts will prove to bring some big live smashes into the world.”

“From personal experience, the road life is a different animal,” says Andy Friday, Head of Publishing, Major Bob Music. “Colin is walking off of the bus with a musical prowess that can’t be taught, it can only be lived and gained from years of experience.”
