Micah Carpenter Signs With Boom Music Group
Rising songwriter Micah Carpenter has signed with Boom Music Group.
A multi-talented writer, producer and musician, Micah hails from Hull, Georgia. After a college career playing baseball at Georgia Tech, he made the move to Nashville in August 2019 to join his sister Mackenzie Carpenter, who recently signed with Big Machine’s The Valory Music Co.
Since moving to Nashville, Micah has worked with songwriters including Nicolle Galyon, Ashley Gorley, Chris Tompkins, and The Warren Brothers. He has garnered cuts from Megan Moroney, Mackenzie, Jonathan Hutcherson, Dylan Marlowe, Kylie Morgan, Peytan Porter, Dylan Schneider, and more. When he’s not writing songs, Micah can be found playing guitar on the road with Big Machine recording artists Conner Smith and his sister.
Russell Dickerson Signs With Concord Music Publishing
Russell Dickerson has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Concord Music Publishing.
The deal includes Dickerson’s full catalog and future works, and Concord has additionally acquired an interest in his back catalog, including titles such as “Yours,” “Every Little Thing,” “Blue Tacoma” and more.
A Tennessee native, Dickerson’s breakthrough hit “Yours” arrived in 2015 and is triple Platinum. He followed that up with three more Platinum chart toppers: “Blue Tacoma,” “Every Little Thing” and “Love You Like I Used To.” Dropping two albums–Yours (2017) and Southern Symphony (2020)–his streaming numbers have hit 2.2 billion across platforms and led to tours with Thomas Rhett, Lady A, and Kane Brown.
Dickerson is the first artist to release four consecutive singles that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart since Luke Combs. He also joins Combs as the second solo artist and fourth act overall to have four or more singles reach No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart since its inception.
His latest single, “She Likes It” with Jake Scott, already reached Platinum status with over 170 million streams to date. His 15-track, self-titled third album will be released on Nov. 4, and he co-wrote all 15 tracks, including his newest single “I Wonder.” Dickerson also collaborated with Cheat Codes on the crossover hit “I Remember,” which dropped this summer. He is currently embarking on a sold-out tour in the UK and will headline a U.S. tour starting next month.
Jon Kraft Signs Global Publishing Deal With Warner Chappell Music
Singer-songwriter Jon Kraft has signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
Born and raised in Lincoln County, West Virginia, Kraft dreamed of writing songs inspired by his experiences growing up on Bear Creek. Following graduation from Marshall University, he landed a job in the oil and gas industry negotiating pipeline deals throughout the country, all while starting and managing a real estate business back home.
A few years ago, his passion for storytelling and songwriting led Kraft to Nashville to pursue his dream. He moved to Music City in 2017 and began writing with some of the city’s top writers.
Travis Chaney & Bridgette Tatum Launch SoNash Publishing
New Nashville-based publishing company SoNash has opened its doors with a team that includes President,Travis Chaney, Vice President Bridgette Tatum, Abigail Wate Ayala as Creative Director, and Juli Newton-Griffith as Creative Consultant.
A coach, consultant and entrepreneur, Chaney’s partnership with Tatum stems from years of a successful working relationship. Tatum is an entrepreneur and songwriter who has more than 100 recorded songs under her belt, including the No. 1 most-played song of 2009, Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country.”
Wate Ayala holds a degree from MTSU and during college interned at multiple music companies, including SeaGayle Music, Sandbox Entertainment, Huskins-Harris Business Management, and Cornman Music, where she was hired. Following two years at Cornman, she worked at Bring A Shovel Management before joining SoNash as Creative Director.
Newton-Griffith has over 30 years of experience in Nashville’s music industry, garnering over 1,000 cuts for artists such as Stuart Harris, Wynonna Judd and Travis Tritt, and representing over 100 songwriters.
