Sony/ATV Inks Publishing Deal With Levi Hummon

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed singer/songwriter Levi Hummon.

The Nashville native and son of songwriter Marcus Hummon, has written songs with some of Music City’s most notable writers, including Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Jonathan Singleton, Brandy Clark, Trevor Rosen and more. Desmond Child‘s Deston Entertainment handles administration. Hummon was previously signed with BMLG’s Valory Music Co. imprint as an artist.

Hummon’s current single “Songs We Sang” has earned over 1.3 million streams since its release in March and is currently spinning on SiriusXM’s The Highway.

 

RareSpark Media Group Adds Jason Afable To Roster

RareSpark Media Group, Inc. has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jason Afable. Since moving to Nashville from the Los Angeles area in 2013, Afable has quickly established himself as a versatile talent in the Nashville creative community. He has landed cuts with a number of independent artists and also produced rising country artist Kalie Shorr’s 2016 single, “Fight Like A Girl,” which was tapped as a “Highway Find” by Sirius XM’s The Highway and named one of the “Top 10 Country Songs of 2016” by Taste of Country.

 

Warner Music Nashville Adds Troy Cartwright To Roster

Leading into CMA Music Fest week, Warner Music Nashville announces a new signing to their roster. Singer-songwriter Troy Cartwright, a Texas native, has joined the WMN family. Cartwright graduated from Berklee College of Music, before moving to Nashville. His independently released music has earned nearly two million streams on Spotify alone.

Cartwright is signed with Red Light Management, Warner/Chappell Music for publishing, and William Morris Endeavor for booking.

 

Jedd Hughes Joins ASCAP

Carnival Music songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jedd Hughes has joined ASCAP as a writer member.

Hughes is a bridge between giants of various generations and musical persuasions, having collaborated with legends including Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Patty Loveless, and the late Guy Clark, as well as current hitmakers Dierks Bentley, Sarah Jarosz and Ryan Bingham. He co-wrote Jarosz’s “House of Mercy,” which earned the 2017 Grammy for Best Americana Roots Performance, and he has co-penned hits including Keith Urban’s “Put You in a Song” and tracks for Tim McGraw, Little Big Town, Charles Kelley, Josh Gracin and more.
