SESAC Opens Doors To New Nashville Office, Collins Honored By NMPA
SESAC welcomed artists, songwriters, publishers, and more from Nashville’s music community on Monday (June 13) to get a first look at its modern two-story, 42,000-square-feet office space at 35 Music Sq. E. in the Music Row neighborhood.
The new space balances history with progress, and provides a comfortable workspace for SESAC’S 110 employees, along with plenty of amenities, including a gym and a Fresh Market, which provides healthy food options on-site for employees. In addition to spacious songwriters rooms, a piano is available in the main lobby for visitors and employees to play.

Also of note with the PRO, Collins was honored by the NMPA for its Songwriter Icon Award on Wednesday, June 8.
Sony/ATV Signs Lindsay Rimes
Sony/ATV Music Publishing Nashville has signed award-winning producer and songwriter, Lindsay Rimes. Rimes was previously signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing Australia but has since relocated to Nashville.
Since moving to Nashville, Rimes has had cuts by Canaan Smith, Jana Kramer, The Cadillac 3, Adam Craig, Drake White and Locash. He also produced Locash’s I Know Somebody, which included the single “I Love This Life.”
While in Australia, Rimes was in-demand as both a producer and songwriter, working in the rock, pop and country genres.
BMI Signs The Damsels
Songwriters Aubree Bullock and Keenie Word, also known as The Damsels, signed to BMI for representation on Tuesday (June 14). The Nashville-based country-pop duo has been recording new material and has two tours scheduled with the Armed Forces Entertainment. Their producers are Brennan Aerts of Vinyl Pinups, Jay Joyce collaborator Jason Hall, and Stormey Music Recording’s Billy Aerts.
The PRO was recently front-and-center at CMA Fest’s Ascend Amphitheater acoustic shows on the Budweiser Acoustic stage.
ASCAP Featured Throughout CMA Fest
ASCAP presented live music throughout this year’s CMA Music Festival.
On Thursday, June 9 and Friday, June 10, ASCAP offered performances from emerging songwriter-artists Carlton Anderson, Jeston Cade, Hannah Dasher, Hannah Ellis, Emily Hackett, Jillian Jacqueline, Hunter Phelps, Jameson Rogers, Brent Rupard and CJ Solar on the Budweiser Acoustic Stage at Ascend Amphitheater.
On Saturday, June 11, ASCAP Presented a special Hit Songwriters Round at the HGTV Lodge with top ASCAP songwriters Chris DeStefano (“Something in the Water”), Ashley Gorley (“T-Shirt”), Jon Nite (“Break on Me”) and Deric Ruttan (“Came Here to Forget”).
