Brentwood-based Studio Gold Music, Inc. has signed Derrick Hampton to a new Publishing and Promotional deal. The Georgia native’s music has appeared in television shows including The Middle and Glades. He is a two-time Georgia State Championship in the Country Showdown, and won the 2011 NSAI/CMT Listener’s Choice Award with the song “Angie’s List,” co-written with David Banning.

He was chosen by ASCAP to be one of 11 songwriters accepted into their inaugural GPS (Guidance from Publishers for Songwriters) Program.

Black River Publishing has announced the contract renewal of hit songwriter/producer Forest Glen Whitehead. Since originally signing with Black River, Whitehead has co-written two singles, “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy,” recorded by Curb/Sidewalk recording artist Dylan Scott, and “Ball Cap,” recorded by Black River’s Glen Templeton. He also has a penned song on Brantley Gilbert’s new album Just As I Am called “Lights of My Hometown.”

Forest is currently producing Black River’s Kelsea Ballerini as well as co-producing Dylan Scott along with Jim Ed Norman.

Nettwerk One Music/Revelry Music Group, along with a newly formed partnership with Neil Mason‘s Lake Gloria Music, has signed Nashville-based songwriter-artist Austin Jenckes to its roster. The Duvall, Wash. native moved to Nashville in 2012, where he released the independent EP An American Story. In 2013, He was a top 10 finalist during Season 5 of NBC’s The Voice.

Jenckes joins Neil Mason (The Cadillac Three), Jessie Jo Dillon, Mike Fiorentino and Archertown on the Nettwerk One Music/Revelry Music Group roster.

Songwriter stages include the BMI Tailgate party prior to the LP Field shows, located in the stadium’s south lawn (schedule immediately following).

The AT&T U-verse Showcase Stage will be located in Fan Fair X at the Music City Center showcasing up-and-coming songwriters, rising stars and Nashville legends (lineup included below).

The SESAC Songwriters Series on the CMA Close Up Stage will host performances Thursday and Sunday. That line up is: Thurs., June 5 (12:30 PM/CT) Craig Campbell, Rob Hatch, Jim Lauderdale, and Lance Miller; and Sunday, June 8 (1:00 PM/CT and 1:45 PM/CT) Curb recording duo American Young, and John and Jacob, respectively.
