Warner/Chappell Music has signed a worldwide co-publishing agreement with up-and-coming Canadian country singer/songwriter Aaron Goodvin. Goodvin’s first full length album, Brand New World, released in 2012, reached the iTunes Top 5 Canadian Country Charts and he has placed highly-anticipated upcoming cuts for Luke Bryan and Scotty McCreery.

Music rights company BMG is under the sole ownership of Bertelsmann once again. BMG has completed the acquisition of the shares previously held by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) after receiving regulatory approval.
Music publishing veteran Kos Weaver recently joined BMG as Executive Vice President, overseeing Nashville operations. He reports directly to Laurent Hubert, President, Creative and Marketing at BMG Chrysalis North America.
BMG administers more than one million song rights, including works by Busbee, Darrell Brown, Darrell Scott, Gordie Sampson, Hillary Lindsey, Jeff Stevens, Jim McCormick, Jimmy Ritchey, Rodney Crowell, Will Hoge and many more.

The Rymer Gallery, a Nashville purveyor of fine art, will present “Beyond Words”, an collection of contemporary artworks by songwriter and lyricist Bernie Taupin. Beginning on March 30, the public will be able to preview the artwork at The Rymer Gallery – 233 5th Avenue North. Craig Wiseman and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee are proud to announce its fourth annual Music Row Rally to be held on Tuesday, April 16 on Music Row in the Big Loud Shirt parking lot located at 1111 16th Ave. South. Wiseman will be joined by Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, and a few local food trucks, including fan favorites Riffs Fine Street Foods, Smoke et Al, Biscuit Love Truck, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and Doughworks on Tuesday, April 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first night of this year’s Tin Pan South (Tuesday, April 2) featured performances from Jake Owen, Tracy Lawrence, Allen Shamblin, Danielle Peck, Jimmy Yeary, Brandy Clark and numerous additional top-notch songwriters at numerous music clubs across the city, including The Bluebird Cafe, Douglas Corner, The Listening Room and other venues.
In a late addition to the Tin Pan South lineup, cast members from ABC’s Nashville, including Hayden Paniettiere (“Juliette Barnes”), Connie Britton (“Rayna James”), Charles Esten (“Deacon Claybourne”) Lennon and Maisy Stella (who portray Rayna’s daughters), Clare Bowen (“Scarlett O’Conner”) and Sam Palladio (“Gunner Scott”) and others performed at 3rd & Lindsley’s late show.
Other singer-songwriters featured Tuesday night include Dustin Lynch, Jeffrey Steele, Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, Dave Barnes, Radney Foster, Jon Randall, Wade Bowen.
