Warner Chappell Music Signs Mickey Guyton

Warner Chappell Music Nashville has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Capitol Records Nashville recording artist, Mickey Guyton.

Guyton’s latest release, “Sister,” brims with female solidarity and empowerment. In 2016, Guyton was nominated for the ACM’s New Female Vocalist honor, and earlier this year, she joined in an all-female rendering of “I’m Standing With You,” from the Breakthrough soundtrack, alongside Chrissy Metz, Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina and Maddie & Tae.

Warner Chappell Music Adds Ben Gallaher To Writer Roster

Warner Chappell Music has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Nashville singer-songwriter Ben Gallaher.

A Pennsylvania native, Gallaher picked up his first guitar at age six and moved to Nashville in 2011 to pursue his music career. Known for his high energy stage presence and guitar slinging, Gallaher has built his fan base by touring throughout Pennsylvania over the past nine years, visiting state prisons on his annual “Barbed Tour.”

Earlier this year, he released “Love You Like America,” produced by Mickey Jack Cones.

Chris August Signs With BMG Music Publishing

ASCAP songwriter-artist Chris August has signed a publishing agreement with BMG Music Publishing. The multiple GMA Dove Award-winning recording artist has also enjoyed success as a country songwriter and plans to continue to work in both genres.

Songwriter Jeremy Bussey Inks New Pub Deal

Songwriter Jeremy Bussey has signed a publishing deal with Nashville-based company Spirit/Fluid, a joint venture between Spirit Music Group and Fluid Music Revolution.

Bussey has penned songs for Jason Aldean, Brantley GilbertAshley McBrydeChase RiceTyler Farr,Thompson SquareLonestarTate Stevens and Mark Wills, among others. He recently won MusicRow’s coveted “Song of the Year” for Ashley McBryde’s “Girl Going Nowhere.” Bussey has also landed songs for synch placements in TV/film and advertising, including Pepsi, Ram Trucks, The Real Housewives of Dallas, Hart of Dixie, and others.

Disney Music Group To Close Nashville Publishing Office

Disney Music Group is set to close its Nashville publishing operation by the end of the year, MusicRow has learned. A source close to the situation states the company aims to centralize its music publishing operations in its Burbank, California headquarters.

Disney Music’s Nashville publishing outpost includes two employees, including A&R Manager Ciara Shortridge, who began working with Disney in 2009, as well as A&R Coordinator Sarah Schumacher, who joined the company in 2017.
