Warner/Chappell Nashville Signs Robyn Collins

Songwriter Robyn Collins has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Nashville. With more than two decades of writing experience, previously as a journalist, Collins realized her penchant for writing songs in 2012.

She has since collaborated with various songwriters, including Warner/Chappell’s Jordan Reynolds. Their song “Nothin’ Like Us” (Josh Gracin) has over 15 million streams on Spotify alone.

 

Warner/Chappell Nashville Signs Johnny Simmen

Songwriter and producer Johnny Simmen has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Nashville. Simmen has more than a decade of experience as an artist and producer across a wide array of projects, bringing a diverse skill set to the Nashville market.

A multi-instrumentalist, Simmen has produced two Toronto Independent Music Award (TIMA)-winning EPs, including The Fifth by Birds of Bellwoods (Best Folk or Roots Album 2015), and Beauty Fools by The Naked Wild (Best Indie Album 2015). He has also collaborated with producers Michael Brauer (Coldplay, John Mayer) and Joe Chiccarelli (Jason Mraz, U2, Elton John).

 
Madeline McDonald Signs With Full Circle Music

Madeline McDonald has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Full Circle Music. McDonald recently released her debut single, “Well Behaved Women.” The Houston native has been carving out her path as an artist and songwriter, and writing with some of Nashville’s top writers including Seth Mosley, Marti Dodson, Ben Stennis, and more.

 

Pete Good Signs Co-Venture With SMACKSongs And King Pen Music

Songwriter/producer Pete Good has signed a worldwide music publishing deal with SMACKSongs and King Pen Music, administered exclusively by Kobalt.

Good grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and moved to Nashville in 2009 to immerse himself in Nashville’s songwriting community. In 2013, he signed with King Pen Music/Garda Entertainment and has since had songs recorded by artists such as Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, Walker Hayes, Rascal Flatts, Jerrod Niemann, LOCASH, Jason Michael Carroll, Michael Tyler, Trea Landon and more.

Recently, Good has been working with Shane McAnally to co-produce Monument Records recording artist Brandon Ratcliff’s forthcoming LP. He also co-wrote the debut single, “Rockin’ All Night Long,” from Capitol Records Nashville / Buena Vista Records artist Adam Hambrick, which is at country radio now.

 
NBC Greenlights Songwriter Competition Songland, With Shane McAnally And Ryan Tedder

Shane McAnally has also signed on with an upcoming songwriter competition on NBC called Songland. Eleven episodes are planned, offering five undiscovered songwriters a chance to create a hit song in each. The first episode will also include OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, recording artist Charlie Puth and songwriter Ester Dean.

One winner per episode will have their song released as an artist’s next single, according to NBC. The series is executive produced by Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart.
