Mackenzie Johnson Signs With Spirit/Fluid

mackenzie johnsonMackenzie Johnson has signed with Spirit/Fluid, the Nashville-based joint venture between Spirit Music Group and Frank Rogers’ Fluid Music Revolution, for publishing.

Pennsylvania native Johnson taught herself to play guitar at 15, and began uploading covers and original songs to her YouTube channel. She has since garnered over 425,000 YouTube subscribers and nearly 40 million views.

peermusic Inks Publishing Deal With Jennifer Hanson

Singer/songwriter Jennifer Hanson has signed an exclusive publishing deal with peermusic.

Hanson has penned songs including “Leave The Pieces” (The Wreckers), “A Different World” (Bucky Covington), and “Let Me Down Easy” (Billy Currington). She also co-wrote “Country Strong,” the title track for the movie of the same name, which starred Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw.

 

Sony/ATV Signs Kasey Tyndall

Artist/songwriter Kasey Tyndall has inked a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Tyndall, who is aligned with Deep South Entertainment, hails from North Carolina and moved to Nashville in 2016. She performed over 90 shows last year and will be releasing her first single, “Everything Is Texas,” on Jan. 31.

ole has acquired the catalog, trademarks, and songwriter contracts of Nashville-based independent music publisher Red Vinyl Music, LLC. ole will now control Red Vinyl’s catalog of nearly 3,000 songs as well as futures for songwriters Chris Janson, Mark Irwin, and Pavel Dovgalyuk. The catalog includes Tim McGraw’s current single, “How I’ll Always Be,” which was co-written by Janson and ole songwriter Jeremy Stover, and the top 25 Chris Janson song, “Holdin’ Her.”

The catalog also includes the works of Streamsound Records artist/writers Dakota Bradley, Austin Webb, Jaida Dreyer, and Dave & Julia Carlson.

Red Vinyl Music was established in late 2010 when producer Byron Gallimore partnered with Jim Wilkes and Tim McHugh.

 

Dallas Wilson Signs With Riser House Publishing

Songwriter Dallas Wilson has received his first publishing deal, signing with Riser House Publishing. Wilson is the second writer to join the Riser House team following Michael Whitworth’s signing last October.

Wilson was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up around the industry. Wilson’s father is studio drummer and hit songwriter Lonnie Wilson and his mother was a background singer for Loretta Lynn.

Riser House Publishing was founded in 2016 by Jennifer Johnson.
