Breaking: Hatch-Goodlatte Music Modernization Act Passes House Vote
The final procedural vote on the Music Modernization Act occurred Sept. 25 as the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the bill with its new name, The Hatch-Goodlatte Music Modernization Act.
The final step for the MMA is for President Donald Trump to sign the act into law.

Lori McKenna has extended her publishing and management agreements with Creative Nation. The Grammy award-winning songwriter has been a writer and artist at Creative Nation since April 2015.
Jimmy Robbins Inks New Co-Pub Deal With Round Hill, Signs Eric Arjes To JV

Round Hill Music Nashville and Baby Needs New Shoes have signed a new co-publishing deal with hit songwriter and producer Jimmy Robbins.
Robbins has earned 11 Top 10 hits including 8 No. 1 songs as a writer, as well as a No. 1 song as a producer for Canaan Smith’s “Love You Like That” and a Billboard No. 1 Album as a producer for RaeLynn’s Wildhorse. He is a CMA Triple Play Award winner and was ASCAP Song Of The Year winner for Thomas Rhett’s “It Goes Like This.” Robbins also recently earned NSAI’s 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written award for Maren Morris’ “I Could Use A Love Song.”
In addition, Round Hill and Jimmy have expanded their joint venture company JRM and signed Eric Arjes to an exclusive co-publishing deal. Arjes is a multi-genre songwriter and producer who has landed cuts with artists like Tim McGraw, Lonestar, Thompson Square and Newsboys to name a few. Arjes has found continued success in the sync world, creating and performing music featured in national TV Ad campaigns for Hershey’s, Lowe’s, Pringles, Dr Pepper, and Walmart, as well as television shows like The Walking Dead and Teen Wolf, and movie trailers/soundtracks like The Muppets Most Wanted.
Warehouse West Entertainment Signs Publishing, Development Deals With Jordan Brooker

Singer-songwriter Jordan Brooker has signed a publishing and artist development deal with recently launched Warehouse West Entertainment in Nashville.
Brooker, a native of Spencerville, Indiana, has been focused on his songwriting and working in the studio with Warehouse West’s Luke Wooten for his first project, which is scheduled for release later this Fall. Brooker is releasing his debut song “You Are” off of his first project on Sept. 21.
He was recently named one of AIMP’s Songwriter Class of 2018 and will be performing his final show in a series of club dates at Whiskey Row in Nashville on Sept. 20.
Whakaio Taahi And Melissa Fuller Ink With Third And Verse Publishing

Whakaio Taahi and Melissa Fuller have signed with Third & Verse Publishing.
As a songwriter Taahi’s credits include penning the end title song for The Amazing Spiderman and three top ten Australian albums. He is a multi-intrumentalist and the former guitarist and principal writer of the band Tonight Live and currently lives in Nashville as a full-time writer/producer. Taahi has recently been collaborating with artists such as Noah Kahan, ZZ Ward, Emerson Hart and Mat Kearney.
Fuller penned her first song at age 12 and earned her first cut as a sophomore in college. A record deal immediately followed and Fuller spent most her early career opening for rock and country legends ZZ Top, Diamond Rio and Lonestar. In addition to her own projects, Fuller has released a Christmas Jazz record with her trio The Ellas and a No. 1 EDM album in five countries and has written hundreds of songs. She has recently worked on projects with LANCO, Rachel Reinert and Mikas Setzer.
Leah Turner, Scott Stevens, Heath Sanders Join L3 Entertainment

Leah Turner, Scott Stevens and Heath Sanders have all signed with L3 Entertainment for management.
L3’s first female signee, Leah Turner is the daughter of a rodeo champion father and Latina mother and draws from her culture and experience growing up on a ranch in California’s Morongo Valley.
Scott Stevens grew up surrounded by music, with a mother who sang in the church choir, and a father who played guitar with the Talking Heads and Joe Walsh of the Eagles. The Knoxville, Tennessee native describes his sound as a cross between Mick Jagger and Eric Church.
Heath Sanders hails from the oil fields of Arkansas. He was invited to perform on The Bobby Bones Show after his cover video of Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way” went viral.
L3 Entertainment’s management roster also includes Justin Moore and Tyler Rich.
