Olivia Rudeen Signs With Deluge Music

Singer/songwriter Olivia Rudeen has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Deluge Music.
Rudeen grew up in Colorado and moved to Nashville in 2013. She has had songs featured in several TV shows, including Nashville.
ASCAP Writer Hunter Phelps Receives Abe Olman Scholarship

ASCAP songwriter Hunter Phelps recently stopped by the performing rights organization to receive his Abe Olman Scholarship for Excellence in Songwriting for 2017 from the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
A native of Niceville, Florida, Phelps was introduced to songwriting by his father, who owned a small recording studio. He began writing songs while attending the University of Florida in Gainesville and joined a band, quickly developing a loyal following. Early in his career he shared the stage with acts like Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Gary Allan, and Michael Ray. Moving to Nashville in 2012, Phelps began playing the honky-tonks of Lower Broadway and sharpened his songwriting skills in the writers’ rooms of Music Row. In 2014, he released his own EP, and signed a joint publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music and songwriter Ashley Gorley’s Tape Room Music. His recent cuts include Florida Georgia Line’s “Wish You Were On It.” Phelps is currently writing and recording for his debut full-length album release.
Scotty McCreery Signs with Triple Tigers Records

Triple Tigers Records announced today (Aug. 15) that the record label has signed Scotty McCreery to its roster.
The ACM, BMI and CMT Award winner is currently rising up the charts with his emotional single, “Five More Minutes,” which has already earned more than 15 million streams. The song is currently #40 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, #46 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Chart, and #58 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout chart. In its first week of release, it sold more than 22,000 paid downloads and earned the No. 6 spot on the Billboard Country Digital Sales Chart, his highest ranking on that chart since his debut single in 2011.
“Five More Minutes” was released independently without a record label; instead it has been entirely marketed and promoted by McCreery and his Triple 8 Management team.
NSAI Announces Promotions, Staff Additions
The Nashville Songwriters Association International has promoted Shelby Yoder to Director of Professional Membership and Events and added four new team members to the staff.
Yoder moves to the director position after nearly two years with NSAI as Logistics Coordinator. In her new position her primary focus will be on songwriter membership, NSAI special events, and the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival.
Four new staffers have joined NSAI as well: Brittni Talley (Marketing Director), Brooke Perry (Executive Assistant), Jolie Grace Wareham (Logistics Coordinator), and Whitney Ingram (Receptionist), with all positions taking effect immediately.
