tinapnsouthNSAI’s 23rd Annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival is shaping up to be one of its most star-studded lineups to date, descending on Nashville March 24-28.

Tin Pan South lists more than 350 hit songwriters that will perform in numerous venues around Music City. All fast access club passes are already sold out. Individual access will be available at the door. Without a Fast Access Pass, festival admission is on a show-by-show, cash-at-the-door basis.

ASCAP WE CREATE MUSIC1ASCAP reports revenues of more than $1 billion for calendar year 2014, according to their recently released financial statement. ASCAP also delivered royalty distributions of over $883 million to its songwriter, composer and music publisher members, up $32.3 million, a nearly 4 percent increase from 2013. According to ASCAP, the organization is the first PRO to earn revenues of more than $1 billion in a year. Read more at MusicRow.com.

The oldest PRO also appointed music industry veteran Brian Roberts as the organization’s Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, reporting to ASCAP CEO Elizabeth Matthews.

Roberts was most recently Executive VP, Corporate Strategy & Operations at Warner Music Group. In his new post he will be responsible for the royalty payment system and will oversee ASCAP’s worldwide infrastructure. Roberts will assume his new position on March 30.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing’s Chairman and CEO Martin Bandier has appointed Rick Krim as Co-President, U.S., a role in which he will lead the company’s A&R operations in Los Angeles.

Krim will oversee Sony/ATV’s U.S. A&R activities alongside Co-President, U.S. Danny Strick, who is based in the company’s New York office. Both report directly to Bandier. Read more at MusicRow.com.
